My name is Jeremiah Oehlerich. First off, I would like to thank you dear reader for taking the time and the interest to read this blog.
I was born and raised in Keystone, Iowa. I graduated from Benton Community High School in 2000, finished my Bachelor's degree in English at Waldorf College in 2004, and completed a Master's degree in Liberal Studies at Concordia University Chicago in 2006. During the course of my studies I took a great interest in many of the areas that continue to define my life: writing, theatre, film, and theology. In 2007, I was blessed to marry my wife Kendra, who currently serves in the United State's Marine Corps, and move with her to her first duty station in Kaneohe, Hawaii. During our time in Hawaii, I worked at a local performing arts center, supervised and tutored a creative writing program in local schools, performed in a children's theatre production of "Sleeping Beauty," and had the thrill of working as an extra on ABC's "LOST." In 2009, Kendra and I were blessed with our son Gabriel, and I transitioned to being a stay-at-home dad. In 2010, our family moved to New Orleans, where my wife is currently stationed.
